Jesse received her Master’s degree in Nursing from Simmons University and is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner. While attending Simmons, she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing for academic achievement and graduated with high honors. Jesse had 10 years of nursing experience working primarily in the operating room at New England Baptist Hospital; as a Nurse Practitioner, she worked at a busy urgent care facility, refining her skills in the assessment and treatment of acute illness and injury. Jesse joined the Root Family in September 2022; eager to work in a family medicine practice that focuses on the whole person and encourages the use of complementary and alternative treatment modalities when appropriate. Jesse provides well-rounded, comprehensive care in both acute and chronic disease management. Areas of interest include pediatric wellness and education, migraine prevention and treatment, musculoskeletal injuries and diabetes management. She also has an aptitude for medical procedures such as incision and drainage of simple abscesses, wound care, ear lavage, trigger point injection and cryotherapy.
