Currently, we’re accepting new patients from our Practice Waitlist only. Joining the waitlist is free, requires no commitment, and reserves your spot so that we can offer you a spot as soon as it becomes available. At that time, we’ll reach out and invite you to join online and schedule your first visit!
In the United States, most people must access holistic care from one place and Western medicine from another. This often becomes costly and disorganized. Our membership model allows us to provide more affordable care and remain in-network with many insurance companies.
We currently do not offer a sliding scale. This may change in time, but at this stage we have made it as affordable as possible to support our clients and their families.

We are happy to say that our membership rate will not increase in 2024. We reserve the right to adjust fees in the future as we see fit to meet the needs of the business, but will always provide 30 or more days notice prior to the start of the next term for any fee adjustments.
You don’t have to be a member to visit our practice. However, to gain access to the full spectrum of primary care services and additional offerings, you must be a member. Well visits and primary care services such as acute care and chronic disease management are only available to our members, as are our natural health library and coaching support offerings. Non-members can use our acupuncture, IV vitamin infusions and cosmetic botox services, but will not receive the membership discount.
You absolutely can. We will prorate the yearly fee from when you begin and then all memberships will renew for 2024.
We ask that you cancel appointments 24 hours ahead of time. If you cancel an appointment on the same day it is scheduled to occur, or do not show up for a scheduled appointment, this is considered a “No-show.” This will incur a $50 fee. If there are 3 no-shows, you may be dismissed from the practice. This policy applies to both in-person and virtual visits. However, we do understand there can be extenuating circumstances and that will always be considered in any decision to issue a fee or terminate care.
Our doctors and nurse practitioners are on call for urgent matters after-hours, including evenings and weekends. We do not use an on call service, so you have access after hours to providers who actually know you and who utilize the Root approach to ensure you are receiving the same quality of service and care. We ask that for non-urgent matters, you call the office Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm or send a patient gateway message.
They do not. Our Practice offers a membership fee cap of $1250 for a family of three members or more living at the same address. This condition is subject to proof of residence. If an adult over the age of 18 leaves the family home and lives at a separate address, he or she will still be charged the $250 rate but will no longer count toward the family fee cap.
No, they are not. The Member Portal is for Root Members only and provides access to our Good Health Online Library. The Patient Gateway is part of the Mass General Brigham system and lets you make appointments, see your balance, access test results and make online payments.
